Tested to 3000 hrs at 100° Fahrenheit with 100% humidity.
BOILING WATER RESISTANCE
Film adhesion with 2.0-5.0 mils, no loss of adhesion after 20 min at 210°-212° Fahrenheit water.
Tested to 15 cycles exposure to 100° Fahrenheit followed by exposure to -10° Fahrenheit, with no change in performance.
This is how it works
The polyurethane material is applied in the 4-coat process system requested. Sanding steps would occur between coating steps to level and prepare the coating for each progressive coating application. Our resultant dry film thickness will be approx. 3.5 to 4.0 mils.
Our flat line finishing system with reciprocal sprayer can operate at speeds up to 5 meters / min and incorporates a prime heat enclosed conveyorized process oven. This oven operates under positive air pressure, uses 72 halogen heat elements with 7 individually controllable heat zones with IR sensors, and 2 air zones using 8 high volume blowers with VFD.
This combination of zones, sensors, and fan control enables us to very accurately adjust the oven for optimum drying conditions for all material types other than wood. This allows us flexibility to operate with a full range of finish materials and cure the coatings for handling and sanding in a quick and effective manner.
We use a 3-head sander with a brush attachment to assist in flat panel finish sanding. This allows us to reduce the sanding variation that occurs with hand sanding and improves the quality and consistency of our end product.
